Chhath Puja is a Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, also known as Surya Dev. The festival usually takes place six days after Diwali. It is an ancient Hindu festival historically native to the Indian subcontinent more specifically, the Indian states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal and the Nepalese provinces of Koshi, Madhesh and Lumbini.



Reportedly, the order issued that all the liquor shops should remain closed. All the licenses shall exhibit this order at some conspicuous place of their licensed premises.
