November 26, 2021: Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan will soon be seen in the crime thriller Bob Biswas. To make the character look real, Bachchan junior put on almost 105 kilos.

“I became between 100-105 kilos during the shoot. And if you see Bob’s face, the face changes when it is round and his cheeks fill up. Weight pulls you down a bit. So, I wanted that slight hunch. I wanted that in the walk. For me, I feel if I can look the character, I feel 50% of my performance is taken care of. That’s what we did,” Bachchan said in an interview.

Bob Biswas will release on ZEE5 on December 3. This would be Abhishek’s third streaming release in a row, after The Big Bull and Ludo.

Bob Biswas directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh and starring Chitrangada Singh, is a spinoff of the 2012 thriller Kahaani, directed by Sujoy Ghosh starring Vidya Balan, Parambrata Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Saswata Chatterjee played the contract killer Bob Biswas in Kahaani.
