OCTOBER 29, 2024- Seema Sajdeh, formerly married to actor Sohail Khan, has opened up about how their divorce has affected their children, Nirvan and Yohan. Speaking on the latest season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Seema revealed the emotional impact the separation had on her sons, especially with her move from Bandra to Lower Parel. Her children, she said, felt more comfortable staying with their father in Bandra, as it felt more like home to them.

In a recent interview Seema reflected on the grief children endure when their parents split, emphasizing that children are the ones who bear the consequences of adult decisions. There is no age that defines the grief they face We did this to them, it’s not them, she remarked. She noted how kids today are growing up in a much more informed world, making them more self-aware, intelligent, and confident than previous generations.

Seema also shared personal moments from her family life, highlighting the differences in how her two sons are handling the divorce. Her younger son Yohan, who was unfamiliar with the term “Divorce” at the time of the separation, internalized his emotions, while her older son Nirvan has been more open. Nirvan is my go-to person, Seema said, recounting how he confided in her about having a girlfriend and seeking her approval.

Having been divorced for nearly two years now, Seema said she is beginning to understand what children truly want from their parents. What children want are to see both the parents united for them It’s peaceful for the child as well. They don’t feel so stuck anymore, she explained.

Seema and Sohail, who divorced in 2022 after 24 years of marriage, had been living separately for some time before making their split official. Seema is currently dating Vikram Ahuja, a businessman to whom she was engaged in the 1990s before eloping with Sohail.
