November 20, 2023: In a recent development, the accused named Mani Khan who is involved in the Purbasha Apartment Woman Murder Case surrendered at Dispur Police Station in Guwahati, Assam on Sunday night.

Amidst Diwali celebration, a body of a woman identified as Anju Dorjee of Bokajan was recovered dead under mysterious circumstances from the Purbasha Apartment located in the Sixmile area. Anju Dorjee was in a live-in relationship with Mani Khan.

The incident came to light when the owner went to the flat and discovered some foul odours from the bedroom. Later, the owner informed to police about the matter. The victim's mother also filed an FIR at Dispur Police Station after the incident.

The accused Mani Khan was taken to the crime spot for further investigation.

However, the reason behind her death will be clear once the post-mortem and forensic reports are out. Further details awaited.
