November 3, 2023: Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan, arrived in Guwahati, Assam on Friday who is on a 3 day visit to the state.
His Majesty was received and welcomed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Borjhar.
Taking to Twitter, Assam CM said, “Under the guidance of our Hon’ble Prime Minister, we look forward to the strengthening of the special relationship between our two countries.”
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the King will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and other senior officials during his visit to India.
