January 4, 2024: Triggering sensation, an allegation of allegedly harassing a pregnant woman has been raised against the Hatigaon Police in Guwahati, Assam on Thursday. The incident happened on Wednesday night.

Reportedly, a man along with his pregnant wife was out for tea at night. Then suddenly they were forcibly picked, dragged by two male police personnel and taken to the Police Station.

The woman’s husband was beaten up when he asked why he was brought to the police station and also made her to seat on a bench for the whole night in the cold. Later, the woman fell on the floor of the police station in the morning due to severe cold and abdominal pain.

As per sources, though they were asked to go from the police station in the morning but they kept their mobile phones.

The victims claimed that a policeman identified as Rahul Gogoi had attacked the husband.

Therefore, an FIR has been lodged against the incident in front of DGP and CP. However, the reason behind dragging the victims to police station is not known yet.
