December 3, 2023: The veteran Assamese Singer Arun Das passed away due to deteriorated health conditions on Sunday. The singer breathed his last at his residence located in the Sarumotoria area in Guwahati, Assam at around 8.30 am.

The singer is popularly known for his songs like Ganroloi Toi Ahili, Bhul Nubujiba, Tumi Kobane, Nelage Morom, Tumi Janu Jana Soon and many more.

As per sources, Arun Das was earlier admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and left to languish there without anyone attending to his needs.
