May 26, 2023: As the drive against fake Indian currency notes and gold continues in Assam, two persons have been held by Tezpur Police from Sonabil area of Sonitpur district on Friday.
Reportedly, the arrested persons have been identified as Iqramul Hussain and Jamal Ali. As per interrogation, police have also seized around two fake gold biscuits from the arrested persons.
Assam police have taken up a war against the Smuggling of Fake Indian Currency Notes Information System (FICN) and fake gold rackets in the state.
