August 4, 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, President Ram Nath Kovind, Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and Kiren Rijiju, the Union Minister of Law and Justice, wishes boxer Lovlina Borgohain after she won the bronze medal in the women's welterweight category (64-69kg) at the Tokyo Olympics on Wednesday.



Taking to Twitter, PM Modi wrote, “Well fought @LovlinaBorgohai! Her success in the boxing ring inspires several Indians. Her tenacity and determination are admirable. Congratulations to her on winning the Bronze. Best wishes for her future endeavours. #Tokyo2020”





Union Home Minister Amit Shah Twitter and wrote: “You fought like a Champ @LovlinaBorgohai. Your hard work and passion to perform better for the country will surely motivate our youngsters. My heartiest congratulations to you on winning the Bronze medal at #Tokyo2020.”





President Ram Nath Kovind also wrote: “Congratulations to Lovlina Borgohain! With your hard work and dogged determination, you have done the nation proud. Your Bronze medal in boxing at the Olympics Games will inspire the youth, especially young women, to battle with challenges and turn their dreams into reality.”





Sports Minister Anurag Thakur tweeted, "Lovlina, you gave your best punch! India is extremely proud of what you have achieved ! You've achieved a medal in your first Olympics; the journey has just begun!"





Rijiju also took to Twitter and wrote: "Well done @LovlinaBorgohai ! #Boxing #Olympics #Tokyo2020 #Cheer4India Dear @LovlinaBorgohai you have made our country proud! Congratulations on winning Olympic Bronze medal! We are extremely proud of your achievement! #Cheer4India." He further tweeted: Dear @LovlinaBorgohai, you have made our country proud! Apart from Union Ministers, Chief Minister of NE and others states also poured wishes for the Bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain.



Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Benarjee also took to Twitter and wrote, “Heartiest congratulations to @LovlinaBorgohai for winning the bronze medal at #Olympics2020. Your incredible effort has made our country proud! Wishing you a very bright future ahead.”
