March 1, 2023: A huge amount of heroin has been seized by police in the Cachar district in Assam during a search operation against drugs on Tuesday night.

The Sonai Police have seized around 152 soap boxes containing heroin weighing 3 kg and brown sugar from Kachudaram. Two peddlers have been arrested by the police.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “#AssamAgainstDrugs In a huge recovery on Tuesday, @cacharpolice arrested two drug peddlers at Kachudaram and seized 3 kg Brown Sugar being transported from a neighbouring state.
