March 26, 2024: A prisoner ended his life at a police station in Kaliabor, Assam on Tuesday. The incident happened at the Jakhalabandha Police Station.

Reportedly, the prisoner identified as Raju Nath who was a resident of Guwahati’s Pandu area was arrested on Friday for allegedly killing a truck driver and hijacking the vehicle. The vehicle was heading towards Samaguri from Meghalaya. However, a day earlier, the prisoner confessed that he had committed the crime.

Therefore, a Crime Investigation Department (CID) and a Forensic teams have left for Jakhalabandha Police Station to investigate the incident.
