April 28, 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi broke protocol and stepped down from the stage in Dibrugarh today to greet the public and the Bihu dancers.

As soon as PM Modi started walking towards the crowd and the performers, a swarm of young Bihu dancers were seen running excitedly toward PM Modi to meet and greet him.

PM Modi was addressing a public rally in Dibrugarh after inaugurating 7 cancer hospitals and laying the foundation for 7 more.

Present at the rally were Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi, Assam Chief Minister  Himanta Biswa Sarma, Tata Trusts Chairman Ratan Tata, Noel Naval Tata, trustee of Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and N Chandrasekaran, Chairperson Tata Group.

The cancer hospitals are coming up under the Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), a collaboration between the Assam government and Tata Trusts for setting up cancer care units in the state.
