February 11, 2025: A massive fire broke out in Habidangra village of Baghbar, Barpeta, on Monday night, completely gutting the house of Javed Ali. While no human casualties were reported, at least five livestock lost their lives in the devastating fire.

According to initial reports, the fire is suspected to have started from the kitchen room. Though firefighters rushed to the village, the remote location made it difficult for them to reach the exact incident spot on time. However, they later managed to control the blaze.

The fire caused severe damage, with property worth several lakhs reduced to ashes. The affected family has suffered significant losses, and further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
