Dr Sashanka Sekhar Dutta, founder of JBF said, “The ultimate goal is to control and eliminate rabies spread by dogs, which is one of the few communicable diseases that can be eliminated using currently available vaccines and tools for veterinary and public health interventions. As this year’s theme is, Rabies: Facts, Not Fear, I urge everyone to come forward and participate in the prevention of this deadly disease in animals and human beings.”

Every year, 28th September is observed as World Rabies Day since 2007 by several organisations including the government to create awareness among the public regarding the deadly disease Rabies and tell them about the preventive measures.
