April 2, 2025: In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening the relationship between the public and the police, a Verification Mela was organized today at all police stations under Guwahati city.

The mela, which commenced at 10 AM and will conclude at 5 PM, offers various services to citizens, including passport verification, job verification, and grievance resolution. Additionally, individuals can also report lost documents related to vehicles, mobile phones, SIM cards, and other important belongings.

This initiative by the city police is intended to enhance public-police cooperation and facilitate smoother verification and grievance redressal processes. The mela has also been set up at Dispur Police Station, where similar services are being provided.

Authorities have urged citizens to take advantage of this opportunity to resolve their verification-related issues conveniently.
