November 10, 2023: Bandana Kalita, the prime accused in the Guwahati Double Murder Case, was granted bail by the Sessions judge's court on Friday.

Bandana Kalita allegedly chopped her husband Amarjyoti Dey and mother-in-law identified as Sankari Dey into pieces after killing them and disposed of all the body parts in some places of Meghalaya. She got arrested after her confession that she had killed them.

Two more persons Arup Deka and Dhanti Deka who were arrested in connection to the case have also been granted bail by the court. Arup Deka was released from jail on October 12.

As per reports, Bandana will have to appear in court two days a week and will not be able to leave the city or hometown without the permission of the court.
