December 4, 2023: Two businessmen were allegedly kidnapped and robbed by some dacoits in Nagaon, Assam on Sunday night.

Reportedly, a gang of six dacoits stopped the vehicle of the businessmen which was fully loaded with betel nuts. Following this, the gang threatened the businessmen with sharp weapons and tied them with ropes and took an amount of Rs 48000. Later, the miscreants dumped them at Saloni Tea Estate in Tezpur.

The incident came to light after police recovered both persons from the tea estate. However, the miscreants took away their mobile phones too.

As per reports, the two men were carrying the betel nuts from Chirajuli to Rupohihat. Further details awaited.
