May 28, 2022: Four dead bodies were recovered in a single day from different parts of Assam on Saturday (May 28).

Guwahati

The body of a youth was recovered near the Engineering Institute in Chandmari, Guwahati on Saturday. The dead body was identified as that of Sariful Ali who was a resident of Noonmati. Sariful had been missing since Friday after he went to withdraw money from an ATM. According to reports, the deceased got married 4 months ago.

Lakhimpur

A farmer named Dilip Bora's body was recovered from a paddy field of a village in Lakhimpur on Saturday. Bora’s family claimed that the deceased was murdered by some miscreants while ploughing the field. Several injury marks was seen on his body. Police investigation is on.

 Dabaka

An unidentified body of a man was recovered from a river in Dabaka in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Locals immediately informed the police.

Kaliabor

The body of a girl was found dead on the railway tracks in Kaliabor, Assam.

She was hit by the Silghat-Guwahati passenger train. The deceased girl has been identified as Chandni Tanti of Borghat. Whether the incident was a suicide or an accident is yet to be ascertained.
