August 21, 2024: Amid the nationwide protest on Kolkata rape and murder case, another horrific incident occurred in Assam. An auto driver in Silchar molested a university student inside his auto while taking her to her rented house.

As reports, allegedly accused driver Badruz Zaman Faruk picked her up from Assam University and on his way he tried to sexually abuse the student. In fear, victim student immediately jumped off from his auto and escaped from the place.

Later, students of Assam University caught the accused driver Badruz Faruk and handed over to the police.
