May 17, 2023: The Dibrugarh Court on Wednesday convicted the Ward Boy named Kiru Mech in 2014 Female Doctor Sarita Toshniwal Murder Case that occurred at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH).

On the other hand, the prime accused Deepmoni Saikia has been acquitted from all the murder charges.

Sarita Toshniwal, a medical student at AMCH, was brutally murdered by a ward boy and a second-year PG student inside the medical premises on May 10, 2014.

However, the court pronounced the verdict almost after 9 years.
