February 20, 2023: A woman named Bandana Kalita of Guwahati, Assam allegedly chopped her husband and mother-in-law into pieces after killing them and disposed of all the body parts in some places of Meghalaya.

Both the deceased have been identified as Amarjyoti Dey and Sankari Dey.

Reportedly, Assam Police started a search operation after a case filed of missing by the deceased Amarjyoti Dey’s Uncle in August last year.

However, police arrested Bandana Kalita after her confession that she had killed them. Two more people named Arup Deka and Dhanjit Deka have been detained in connection to the case.

According to Police officials, the reason behind the crime is extramarital affairs and property.
