June 24, 2021: Assam recorded 2781 number of Covid positive cases today along with 34 deaths.

The positivity rate has risen to 2.24 per cent.

Among the districts, Golaghat reported the maximum number of cases at 249, followed by Sonitpur with 228 cases, Dibrugarh with 182 cases, Nagaon recorded 176 cases as per data shared by the National Health Mission, Assam on Thursday.

Jorhat recorded the highest number of deaths at 5, followed by 4 deaths each in Kamrup (M) in Karbi Anglong, Nagaon and Tinsukia districts.

It is to be mentioned that the state government would be announcing a new set of SOP on Saturday.

Different parts of the state are already under curfew with few hours of relaxation. The curfew timings for Guwahati city has been from 2 PM to 5 AM.

This is expected to be relaxed and the new timings are expected to be from 6 PM to 5 AM.
