May 17, 2023: A notorious dacoit named Keshab Nath has been injured in a police firing in Dhemaji district of Assam on Tuesday night.

Reportedly, the incident took place at Bongalmari when the dacoit tried to escape from the police custody after attacking the police personnel.

According to police officials, Keshab Nath was arrested based on a dacoity incident that took place at Sukapha Nagar on May 4. He was caught red-handed by the locals.

Currently, the injured dacoit has been undergoing treatment at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh.
