April 2, 2024: Triggering sensation, a woman and her son was brutally stabbed by a neighbour in Jagiroad, Assam on Tuesday. The incident happened near Nellie area.

According to police officials, the accused identified as Babu Pahariya allegedly stabbed the neighbouring woman identified as Moni Pahariya and her 3-year-old son with sharp weapon. Later, the accused Babu ended his life after committing the crime.

Reportedly, the son lost his life at the crime spot and the victim woman who is in critical condition is still undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Locals said that the victim’s husband was not present at the house when the incident happened in the morning.

However, the reason behind the incident is not known yet. Police are investigating on the matter.
