August 15, 2020: Along with the rest of India, Tripura too celebrated the 73rd anniversary of the country's independence. Chief minister Biplab Deb hoisted the tricolour at Assam Rifle’s ground in Agartala.

The chief minister in his speech spoke about the various development schemes by his government. He also announced several new schemes of his government.

He also presented various police medals to the Tripura Police personnel.
