July 28: The total Covid cases in Tripura has crossed 4000 mark on Monday as 147 fresh cases were detected.
"147 people tested #COVID19 positive out of 4027 samples tested," tweeted chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
Pf these, West Tripura records 40, Sepahijala - 41, Gomati - 22, Khowai - 12, North - 18, Unakoti - 2, Dhalai - 9 and South Tripura records 3 cases.
Meanwhile, 93 COVID-19 patients have been discharged on Monday.
The CM tweeted that as part of the week long mega door-to-door survey, the combined teams of Healthcare and Asha workers screened total 1,59,854 houses on the first day and collected samples of 2271 among 4728 identified persons. Among them, 90 people have been found COVID19 positive.
A 76-year-old man suffering from kidney ailments died due to the disease at a hospital in Gomati district on Sunday. Another 84-year-old patient, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital since July 24, died in West Tripura district. He suffered from cardiac problems.
