March 27, 2023: Thousands of protesters gathered together in the streets of Tel Avi in Israel after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired Defence Minister Yoav Gallant late Sunday.
As per reports, PM Netanyahu fired the minister over a dramatic speech criticizing a contentious plan to reduce the power of the Supreme Court.
Yoav Gallant was the first senior member to speak against the overhaul plan saying that the divisions are threatening to weaken the military.
Demonstrations took place in Beersheba, Haifa and Jerusalem, where people gathered outside Netanyahu's private residence. Police Personnels used water cannons to control the situation.
On the hand, a huge crowd marched from the residence to the Knesset.
