India, Singapore announces agreements on semiconductor, health and medicine sector

September 5, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Singaporean counterpart, Lawrence Wong singed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on the digital technology, semiconductor, health and medicine sector and for educational cooperation and skill development. 
Prime Minister Modi wrote on X, “The discussion with my friend, PM Lawrence Wong continued today. Our talks focused on boosting cooperation in areas like skilling, technology, healthcare, AI and more. We both agreed on the need to boost trade relations.”
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, during the meeting, the leader reviewed the progress of India-Singapore bilateral relations. 
Modi arrived in Singapore on Wednesday on the second leg of a two-nation Southeast Asian tour, after making the first bilateral visit to Brunei by an Indian premier.
