August 23, 2024:  Banglesh’s all-rounder cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has been charged for a muder during the Student’s protest in Bangladesh.

According to the reports, Rubel who was a garment worker by profession, died on August 7 after being hit by a bullet during the movement on August 5.

Rafiqul Islam, Rubel’s father filed a complaint the Adabor police station on August 22 in which 154 local Awami League leaders and activists has been named. Among these named in the complaint are Shakib and former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

As reports, Shakib, a Member of Parliament from Magura-2 constituency, is not a Bangladesh currently. Earlier this month he was playing cricket in Canada where he was leading Bangla Tigers Mississauga in the Global T20 Canada.
