October 11, 2023: Shahid Latif, the mastermind behind the 2016 Pathankot Attack, has been gunned down by some unknown assailants near a mosque located on the outskirts of Sialkot in Pakistan on Wednesday.

According to sources, the 41-year-old terrorist, associated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed, was accused of hijacking an Indian airlines plane in 1999, and was also listed as most wanted terrorist by the Indian Government on 2010. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe said Shahid Latif went back to the Jihadi factory in Pakistan after his release in 2010.

Police officials suspected that the miscreants who killed Shahid fled on a bike immediately from the scene. However, police have launched a probe into the matter.
