January 30, 2020: Two ULFA (I) cadres of 244 field regiment surrendered in Sapekhati army camp, Charaideo on Thursday.

The two cadres are namely Manash Patmout aka Bastav Asom of Lukhurakhon village, Charaideo and Lakhi Lungnung aka Rubul Asom of Khamti village, Narayanpur who were Sergeant Major of ULFA (I).

Reportedly, both the cadres had earlier contacted Sapekhati's Army Major Sachin Singh to surrender themselves following which they were brought from Myanmar Border on Wednesday.

Both the cadres have submitted one advance HK 33 rifle, 34 live bullets, and two magazines including some foodstuff.

It may be stated that Manash and Lakhi had joined ULFA (I) in 2010 and 2017 respectively.
