PM Modi Concludes Busy US Visit, Reaffirms Commitment to Global Peace Before Departing for Delhi

September 24, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded a busy three-day trip to the United States and departed for India on Tuesday. His visit was highlighted by key engagements, including addressing the UN’s Summit of the Future amidst ongoing global crises such as the Israel-Hamas conflict and the war in Ukraine.

During his time in New York, PM Modi participated in significant bilateral meetings, notably with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. In his discussion with Zelenskyy, Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, marking their third meeting in recent months. The two leaders last convened in Kyiv in August, following earlier talks during the G7 summit in Italy.

"Met President @ZelenskyyUa in New York. We are committed to implementing the outcomes of my visit to Ukraine last month to strengthen bilateral relations. Reiterated India’s support for early resolution of the conflict in Ukraine and restoration of peace and stability," Modi posted on X.

The Prime Minister’s engagement at the UN and with various world leaders underscores India’s proactive role in addressing pressing international issues and fostering diplomatic relations.
