February 14, 2024: The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) on Tuesday banned Indian Hammer Thrower Rachna Kumari for 12 years for failing multiple dope tests.

As per sources, Rachna Kumari’s dope sample, taken out-of-competition, was found to contain steroids Stanozolol, Metandienone, Dehydrochloromethyltestosterone (DHCMT) and Clenbuterol.

Rachna had earlier served a four-year suspension from 2015 to 2019 for committing an Anti-Doping Rule Violation of the IAAF Anti-Doping Rules in relation to the presence of Metenolone in a sample collected on February 10, 2015. Her current suspension began on November 24.
