October 9, 2024: In a troubling incident, a Territorial Army (TA) soldier was reportedly abducted by terrorists in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The abduction occurred in the forested region of Shangus, located in the Kokernag area, on Tuesday.

According to initial reports, two TA soldiers were targeted by the terrorists, but one of them managed to escape and has returned to safety. Security forces, including personnel from the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, have launched a comprehensive search operation to locate the abducted soldier and apprehend those responsible.

Authorities have mobilized significant resources in response to the incident, scouring the dense terrain in hopes of a swift resolution. As of now, the Indian Army has not issued an official statement regarding the abduction or the ongoing search efforts.
