March 23, 2024: Six disqualified congress MLAs in Himachal Pradesh have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi on Saturday.



The six MLAs are Sudhir Sharma, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Ravi Thakur, Chetanya Sharma, Rajinder Rana and Devinder Kumar Bhutto. Earlier, the MLAs were disqualified on February 29 for refusing to follow party directives.



The MLAs joined the new party in the presence of Union Minister Anurag Thakur, former Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, and the state unit president Rajeev Bindal. Many prominent BJP leaders have also attended the joining ceremony.



Along with the six leaders, three more independent MLAs- Ashish Sharma, Hoshiyar Singh, and KL Thakur have also joined BJP today.
