April 3, 2024: A YouTuber from Kerala has been arrested over promoting fake news about electronic voting machines (EVMs) ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

The owner of the YouTube channel, Venice TV Entertainment, was arrested by the Alappuzha South Police in Kerala based on an FIR registered by some persons.

As per sources, the YouTuber was allegedly unleashing a campaign urging people to conduct voting for the general election through ballot paper. According to police officials, it was done with the intention of creating a rift and tension in society.
