November 26, 2024, signifies the day when the Constituent Assembly of India formally adopted the Constitution in 1949, laying the foundation for the Republic of India, which came into effect on January 26, 1950.

The day’s significance is underscored by a special event at the Central Hall of Parliament, where President Droupadi Murmu will address a joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament. This speech will mark the commencement of a series of commemorative activities throughout the year to honor the Constitution and its framers.

The government’s campaign, “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhimaan,” aims to celebrate the invaluable contributions of the Constitution’s architects while reaffirming the core values enshrined within it.
