March 2, 2024: Google has removed many popular Indian Apps from play store citing non-compliance with its billing policies.



The apps include Naukri, matrimony services Shaadi and Bharat Matrimony, audio storytelling platforms Kuku FM, ALT Balaji’s ALTT, dating platform TrulyMadly and real-estate manager 99acres.

As per sources, this action is part of Google's drive to rid those apps from Indian app developers which the tech giant said have not complied with its app billing policy for an "extended period of time."
