August 28, 2024: The Indian Medical Association has suspended the membership of Dr Sandip Ghosh, the former Principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital where a doctor was raped and murdered this month.

Dr. Ghosh who has been grilled by CBI in connection with this case, and even took a lie-detector test, has been accused of negligence in the matter, including failing to file a police complaint when the women’s grievously injured body was found.

Though he was not charged in connection with the killing of the doctor but there have been claims of corruptions in RG Kar Hospital.
