October 7, 2024: In a disturbing development, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has formally charged Sanjoy Roy, a former contractual staff member of the Kolkata Police, with the rape and murder of a woman doctor on duty at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The charges will be submitted today in a special court in Sealdah.
