Allu Arjun Granted Bail in Connection with Pushpa 2 Premiere Stampede Tragedy

January 3, 2025: Popular actor Allu Arjun has been granted bail in connection with the tragic stampede case that occurred during the premiere of his latest movie, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The Nampally Court in Hyderabad approved his bail plea on Friday, allowing the actor to walk free after furnishing a ₹50,000 bond.

The incident took place on December 4, when massive crowds gathered outside Sandhya Theatre to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, who attended the premiere of the highly anticipated sequel. Chaos erupted as the actor waved to fans from the sunroof of his car, leading to a stampede. A 35-year-old woman named Revathi lost her life in the incident, and her eight-year-old son sustained injuries and was hospitalized.

Following the tragedy, the Chikkadpally police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The case was filed based on a complaint by the victim's family. The actor was arrested on December 13 but secured interim bail from the Telangana High Court the following day.

The incident has sparked widespread debate about crowd management and the responsibilities of public figures during large gatherings. While the case remains under investigation, the actor’s bail has brought temporary relief to his legal troubles.

Allu Arjun, who has not made a public statement since his release, continues to face criticism and calls for accountability. Fans and observers are now eagerly waiting for the court’s final decision on the matter.

The Pushpa 2 star remains one of the most celebrated figures in Indian cinema, but the tragedy has cast a shadow over the film's release, raising questions about safety protocols and event management during high-profile premieres.
