May 10, 2022: In yet another incident in Guwahati, a girl passenger was allegedly beaten with a helmet by a rapido driver on Monday evening.

The girl had booked the bike from Jayanagar to Kumarpara.

The driver has been identified as Dipen Gohain.

The incident took place when the girl refused to pay extra money to the driver following which he took advantage of the darkness and misbehaved with her.

Later, the driver was apprehended at Guwahati club under the fly over and brought to Dispur Police Station to take lawful action.
