May 28, 2022: Don Bosco University’s Vice-Chancellor Father Stephen Mavely, who was arrested in connection to Guwahati-based entrepreneur and actor George Bordoloi’s suicide case, has been granted bail by the Gauhati High Court (HC) on Thursday, May 26.

Mavely was sent to two-day police custody on May 25.

Bordoloi allegedly died by suicide on Monday (May 23) and reportedly accused Vice-Chancellor of Don Bosco University Father Stephen Mavely of abetting his suicide in a note which he has left behind. Following Bordoloi’s suicide note, Sonapur Police had arrested Father Stephen Mavely.
