January 9, 2024: The Northeast’s first Aircraft-themed restaurant ‘Wings of Hazarika’ which is transported from Mumbai Airport to Assam through a trailer truck has faced problems again near the Jakhalabandha area in the Nagaon District of Assam.

The ‘Wings of Hazarika’ is owned by an Assam-based entrepreneur Hariprashana Hazarika of Sivasagar. The plane has been brought to make a family restaurant which will be open at Bhatiapara in the district.

Reportedly, the 118-foot-long plane faced a problem at the gate of a railway electric pole in Jakhalabandha. Following this they had to stop in the area for a night. According to some sources, the electric gate will be opened only after receiving permission from the Lumding Railway Department.

Several locals gathered on the road only to watch and take selfies with the plane.

Firstly, the decommissioned aircraft got stuck under the Piprakothi Bridge in Bihar’s Motihari on December 29. Later, after reaching Assam, the plane again got wedged under the railway over-bridge near North Jalukbari in Guwahati.
