February 16, 2024: A policeman has been critically injured after accidentally sustaining a bullet injury while cleaning his own service gun.

The incident took place in Tinsukia, Assam on Friday. Therefore, the injured policeman identified as Basanta Gogoi has been admitted to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh for treatment.

As per sources, the injured policeman is a bodyguard of DSP Binanda Basumatary of the Tinsukia Border Branch.
