November 29, 2023: In a recent development, three persons have been arrested in connection with a dacoity case in Jorhat, Assam on Wednesday.

As per sources, the dacoity incident took place near Marwari Patti area on Marwari Patty, Jorhat on November 25. The dacoits robbed a young businessman named Mihir Dalmia while he was returning home after closing the shop. The accused fled away with huge amount of money Rs 16.5 lakh.

Reportedly, the arrested persons have been identified as Upen Sarkar, Mantu Sarkar and Abhijit Sarkar. All the arrested accused are resident of Palashani in Sivasagar.

Three more persons named Biplab Kakoti, Panku Das and Bikash Paul who were involved in the case are still on the run.
