September 18, 2021: Two cadres of the new militant outfit United Liberation for Bodoland have been killed during a firing exchange with Kokrajhar Police at Ultapani area in Kokrajhar.



The two deceased have been identified as Jonok Kumar Brahma and Janasar Mushahary.





Informing this, Special DGP L&O tweeted, "In a late night/early morning operation,



@KokrajharP has busted a camp of newly formed terror group ULB at Ultapani area. Two cadres have been declared dead after exchange of fire between Police/Security forces and terrorists. Two pistols and grenades recovered @assampolice."

Earlier, the outfit which is seeking creation of a separate Bodo land had published a video warning the law enforcing agencies that if a single ULB cadre is insulted or killed in an encounter, the outfit will retaliate by killing 20. The outfit also sought the release of cadres from jail. If not released in time, they would resort to bomb blasts in October. The outfit also said that they are ready to lay down their lives for the cause of their community and would not rest till they get a separate Bodoland.
