August 25, 2023: A Dibrugarh University student named Dicky Sonowal has entered her name in the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records by singing 50 songs in fifty different languages. She hails from Tinsukia district. She is a daughter of Lalit Sonowal and Momi Sonowal of Dangari Sarudhadum village.



Dicky Sonowal is a student in the third semester of the Department of Assamese at the University. Earlier, she was also the best singer of Doomdooma College and Dibrugarh University.



Dicky has performed the songs in different languages like Missing, Newari, Tamil, Manipuri, Nagpuri, Himachali etc.



While speaking to DY365, Dicky mentioned that she is also trying for the International Books of Records and World Books of Records.
