July 14, 2021: Assam’s COVID-19 caseload mounted to 5,40,453 on Wednesday as 2046 more people tested positive for the infection while 22 fresh fatalities pushed the death toll to 4910, the National Health Mission bulletin said.



Golaghat district reported the highest number of new cases at 228, followed by 207 in Kamrup (M), 122 in Sivasagar and 115 in Lakhimpur.





The number of active cases in the state is 19,653.



Of the 22 fatalities, 3 deaths reported from Lakhimpur, two each from Golaghat, Jorhat, Kamrup(M), Karbi Anglong, Tinsukia, Kamrup (R) and one each from Cachar, Chirang, Dibrugarh, Hojai, Barpeta, Sivasagar and Sonitpur.

Total 5,14,543 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the infection so far.



The current death rate is 0.91 per cent and the number of COVID-19 positive patients dying due to other causes is 1,347.
