Assam’s COVID-19 caseload mounted to 5,58,491 on Sunday as 1054 more people tested positive for the infection

July 25, 2021: Assam’s COVID-19 caseload mounted to 5,58,491 on Sunday as 1054 more people tested positive for the infection while 22 fresh fatalities pushed the death toll to 5136, the National Health Mission bulletin said.



Kamrup (M), district reported the highest number of new cases at 150, followed by 67 in Golaghat, 61 in Lakhimpur and 57 in Jorhat.





The number of active cases in the state is 13,910.

Of the 22 fatalities, 6 deaths reported each from Golaghat, 4 from Jorhat, 2 from Kamrup(M), and  1 each from Biswanath, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Kamrup (R), Kokrajhar, Morigaon, Nagaon, Sivasagar, Sonitpur and Tinsukia.





Total 5,38,098 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the infection so far.



The current death rate is 0.92 per cent and the number of COVID-19 positive patients dying due to other causes is 1,347.
